Connect Your Shopify Store
to the WhatSake app.
Selling on WhatSake is extremely simple if you are on Shopify. In just a few clicks, you can connect your shop to our platform so we can start sending you orders!
Step 01
To connect your Shopify store to WhatSake, you first need to create a custom app.
1.1 - Log in to your Shopify store, click Apps, then click App and sales channel settings.
1.2 - On the Apps and channels screen, click Develop apps.
1.3 - Click Allow custom app development, then confirm this action again by clicking Allow custom app development on the next screen.
This will allow you to create an API token that you will use when creating the connection for WhatSake.
1.4 - Click Create an app.
1.5 - Type an App name, select an App developer, and click Create app. You can name your app WhatSake for simplicity.
1.6 - Click Configuration, then click Configure next to Admin API integration.
1.7 - On the Admin API integration screen, select Admin API access scopes (permissions) that represent the actions you will need to connect successfully with WhatSake.
Please enable the following access scopes:
read_orders, write_orders, write_draft_orders, read_draft_orders
Then click Save.
Step 02
Once your custom WhatSake app is created, you need to get your unique Admin API Access Token.
⚠️ Please note that you will only be able to see your Admin API Access Token once. We recommend you copy pasting it somewhere safe for your record.
2.1 - Switch to the API credentials tab and under Access tokens, click Install app. In the dialog that appears, confirm the action by clicking Install app.
Shopify creates an Admin API access token. Click Reveal token once and copy the token. You will need to give us this token so we can set everything up on our side on your behalf.
2.2 - Once you have your Admin API Access Token saved somewhere safe and accessible. We'll need to setup an intro video call with us so we can introduce ourselves, answer all your questions and welcome you to the WhatSake family!
